n The Fremont Street Experience plans to host a Pride Night Parade Party from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday on the 3rd Street Stage at Third and Fremont streets downtown. n The Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., has scheduled its second annual Tails & Trails event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, featuring unguided hikes for attendees and their dogs, classes on making dog treats, demonstrations by the Metropolitan Police Department's K-9 unit and dachshund races. The event is included in admission to the Springs Preserve, which starts at $4.95 for children. Wings over the Springs is back at the Springs Preserve with owls, falcons, hawks and ravens flying overhead in two live shows at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. weekends and select school holidays through Feb. 24. New to the show are the Harris hawk, peregrine falcon, yellow vulture, African augur buzzard, common buzzard and a pair of yellow-billed black kites native to Southern Africa and the Middle East. The two female kites are said to be the only members of this species in the U.S. The flight show is free with Springs Preserve membership or admission. For $10, guests can upgrade to a backstage pass, which allows direct interaction with the birds after the show.

The program, featuring the 22-voice Musical Arts singers and instrumental ensemble, under the direction of Douglas R. Peterson, is set to bring to life more than 200 years of presidential campaign music. John Hanks is to provide historical narration containing anecdotes about America's political parties and the candidates for the presidency. Keyboard accompaniment will be provided by Eric Eichorst. The Musical Singers ensemble has performed "Songs of Our Politics" every four years prior to each presidential election season since 1992. n Feline rescue Community Cat Coalition of Clark County (C5) and Bonnie Springs Ranch, 16935 Bonnie Springs Road, have scheduled a Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the ranch in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The event is set to include face painting, a magic show, a balloon artist, country singing, an Old West show and food and beverage vendors. A silent auction is slated with prizes such as a Pink Jeep Tour certificate and a balloon ride. Bonnie Springs also plans to host its second annual chili cookoff.
