A 23-year-old man died after crashing a car into a concrete pole near Oakey and Martin Luther King boulevards Friday morning, Las Vegas police said.
The 1998 Toyota Corolla was engulfed in flames, but firefighters were able to get the man out, police said. He died at University Medical Center. He was the only occupant in the vehicle.
The man will be identified by the Clark County coroner's office.
Police said Friday morning that speed might have contributed.
