Elderly man in hospital after a hit and run crash

A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run Wednesday morning in the southern valley, Las Vegas police said.

Just after 5 a.m., an 84-year-old man was hit after walking in the road on Robindale Road west of Bower Drive, police said. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center Trauma Center with critical injuries.

The hit-and-run vehicle is described as a black 2003­ to 2007 Honda Accord. The vehicle should have damage to its right front and side and be missing a passenger-side mirror.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Accident Investigation Section is investigating the crash.
