March 2, 2016 - 10:26 pm
Henderson police were searching for a man they said helped rob a home Wednesday night near Valle Verde Drive and Horizon Ridge Parkway, officials said.
A homeowner near the 1700 block of Lakewood Drive reported noises coming from their neighbor’s unoccupied home about 7:45 p.m., police spokeswoman Michelle French said. When officers arrived, two men suspected of burglary happened to be leaving the home. When they saw the officers, they ran.
Police caught one of the men as of 10 p.m. but were searching for the other. French said a Metro air unit, Metro K-9 unit, a Henderson K-9 unit and one Nevada Highway Patrol trooper was helping Henderson police with the search.
It was unclear whether the men were armed during the burglary. A description of the man police were searching for was not immediately available.
