Lake Mead Boulevard reopens after morning crash

Lake Mead Boulevard was closed at Clifford Street in the northeast Las Vegas Valley for just over two hours Wednesday after a crash between a sport utility vehicle and a tractor-trailer caused the SUV to roll over, police said.

At 10:16 a.m, Metro responded to the intersection of Lake Mead and Clifford, where police found the SUV turned on its roof, officer Larry Hadfield said.

Eastbound Lake Mead was shut down shortly after, and medical units were on their way to the scene at 10:50 a.m., Hadfield said.

All lanes were reopened around 1 p.m., officer Laura Meltzer said.

No further information was immediately available.
