Las Vegas man rescued after getting stuck in chimney

A man was rescued by a fire crew after trying to forge a unique path into his home Thursday morning.

After being locked out, he climbed onto the roof and into the chimney of his one-story home near Jones Boulevard and Alta Drive. He got stuck about five feet down.

Las Vegas firefighters arrived around 9 a.m. and pulled the man back out of the chimney.

The man, who wasn’t immediately identified, was unharmed despite the small space he had — the chimney’s opening was only about 12 inches wide, fire officials said.

No chimneys were damaged in the incident.
