Las Vegas man struck by vehicle Jan. 24 has died
A man who was struck by a vehicle Jan. 24 has died from his injuries, Las Vegas police said Thursday.
Police identified the man, who died Wednesday, as 26-year-old Jeffrey MacDonell of Las Vegas. The Clark County coroner said he was 27.
MacDonell was walking near the parking garage of Silver Sevens when he crossed Flamingo Road outside a marked crosswalk, police said. He entered the path of a 2013 Honda Accord and was struck by the vehicle. MacDonell hit the windshield and then fell to the ground.
The 76-year-old Las Vegas man driving the Honda stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
This was the 13th traffic-related fatality for Metro in 2017.
