Las Vegas, North Las Vegas chambers of commerce complete merger
The chambers of commerce for North Las Vegas and Las Vegas merged Monday, according to officials from both chambers.
The merger, effective immediately, will allow North Las Vegas members access to benefits previously only available to Las Vegas Chamber members such as its health plan for businesses between two and 50 employees. Other programs include the Office Depot Discount program, the Customer Service Excellence program and access to the Las Vegas Chamber's complimentary Business Center.
The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce has about 6,000 members; the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce has 450 to 500 members. The two organizations had announced in August that they were exploring a merger for greater efficiency and more effective programs to support local business.
