Las Vegas police fatally shoot dog
Las Vegas police shot and killed a dog Tuesday afternoon after receiving calls that it was attacking someone.
Police responded about 2:35 p.m. to the 3700 block of Swenson Street, near Twain Avenue, where a person was reportedly being attacked by a dog, police said.
Arriving police shot the dog, a Metro release said.
Police are still investigating the incident, and the extent of injuries and number of people involved in the attack was not immediately known, police said.
