Las Vegas police found a woman dead in a wash east of the Strip Friday morning.

Medical personnel and police arrived just before 7 a.m. at the scene near Mandalay Bay Road and Giles Street.

Police said it is unclear how long the woman’s body had been in the wash or whether her death was related to Thursday’s heavy rain, but they don’t suspect foul play.

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the woman’s identity after her next of kin has been notified.
