Las Vegas police on Wednesday were searching for a woman they say stole two cars and struck one of the drivers.
A cab driver picked up the woman downtown, police said, and they got in an argument while he drove her near Rancho Drive and Decatur Boulevard about 2:55 p.m.
The driver stepped out of the cab, police said, and the woman took the driver’s seat and sped off — intentionally hitting the driver on the way.
Behind the wheel of the cab, the woman headed to Cheyenne Avenue and went west, according to police. When she got to the intersection at Jones Boulevard, she ran a red light and collided with another vehicle.
The driver of a Chevrolet Aveo stopped to help, and the woman “yanked” that person out the car and drove off, police said.
Cheyenne is closed while police search for the woman and the Aveo.
The cab driver was taken to University Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
