Las Vegas police seek man in west valley robbery

Las Vegas police are looking for the public’s help identifying a suspected robber.

On June 23, a man robbed a shop in the area around South Rainbow and West Charleston boulevards about 10:56 p.m.

Police did not specify where exactly the event occurred, and the address recorded in police dispatch log, 1105 S. Rainbow Blvd., is a strip mall with several businesses.

The man entered a business and pretended to be a customer. While at the register, he placed his right hand inside a bag, simulating a weapon, and demanded money. The clerk complied and the man ran southwest, police said.

Police described the man as standing about 6-feet tall and weighing from 190 to 210 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue button-up, short-sleeve shirt over a black T-shirt, khaki cargo shorts, blue deck-style shoes and white calf-length socks. He was also seen carrying a black drawstring bag.

Anyone with information about the man can call Metro’s robbery detectives at 702-828-3591. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com. Tips directly leading to an arrest or an indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may result in a cash reward.
