Las Vegas police, seeking shooter, release video showing fatal attack

Las Vegas police released grainy video Thursday that shows a shooting that left a teenage boy dead.

Police are still looking for any information about the shooter, who they described as a young black man between the ages of 16 and 20.

The video was shot Monday by one of Metro's crime cameras posted in the 6300 block of West Lake Mead Boulevard, near Portofino Villas Apartment Homes, where the shooting happened.

Video shows three people appearing to argue as they walk towards the exit of the apartment complex.

As the group nears the exit, one of them turns around and appears to fire off several shots toward the other two. The person who appeared to fire the shots is then seen running down Lake Mead wearing a dark hoodie.

Police later found 16-year-old Tiyvone Taylor Mills dead in the apartment complex parking lot.

Anyone with information on the shooting can contact Metro at 702-828-3521 and homicide@lvmpd.com. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 and www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
