Man dies after being ejected from vehicle Friday night

A man has died after being ejected from a vehicle late Friday night in the west valley.

The crash occurred at approximately 11:32 p.m. on W. Spring Mountain Road near the intersection with S. Hauck Street.

According to Las Vegas police, a BMW was struck by an Infinity travelling at a high rate of speed on Spring Mountain Road, causing the vehicle to spin. A 51-year-old man was a rear passenger in the BMW, and was ejected from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seat belt, Metro said in a release.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two passengers of the BMW and the driver of the Infiniti were wearing seat belts, police said. All three were transported to the University Medical Center Trauma hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
