Man dies after being struck by pickup Tuesday night, Henderson police say

A man who was trying to cross Boulder Highway in Henderson on Tuesday night was struck by a pickup truck and killed, police said.

About 11:15 p.m., the unidentified 44-year-old man was struck by a Toyota Tacoma driven by 67-year-old Wilfredo Sanchez, the Henderson Police Department said in a statement.

Police said the man was trying to cross Boulder Highway near King Street, and was apparently outside of a marked crosswalk. Sanchez and his unidentified passenger were uninjured, police said.

Alcohol, drugs and speed aren’t considered as factors in the crash, police said.

The Clark County coroner’s office will identify the dead man once his family has been notified.

Seven people have died in fatal traffic-related incidents in Henderson this year, police said.
