Man found dead at Lake Mead identified

The Clark County coroner’s office identified a California man who died while swimming in Lake Mohave Sunday afternoon.
Bobbie Ray Washam, 79, from Long Beach, Calif., was seen struggling before disappearing under water at about 2:30 p.m., a Lake Mead National Recreation Area spokeswoman said.
Washam was not wearing a life jacket, witnesses said.
His body was recovered by emergency workers soon afterwards.
His cause of death had not been determined as of Thursday.
