Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the street in the west part of the valley late Sunday.
A call reporting a shooting and a man down in the 4500 block of Bonita Vista Street, near Peace Way, came in just before midnight, Metro Lt. David Gordon said.
When officers arrived, they found an unconscious man with apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police said an argument broke out between the victim and another man. The argument escalated to a physical altercation. While the men were fighting, the shooter fired at the victim multiple times, striking him, according to a Monday news release.
The shooter fled on foot.
A Hispanic male with black hair and a grey shirt was seen running west on Peace Way near the scene, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
This is the 107th homicide investigated by Metro in 2015. The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner's office.
