Man in custody, stable condition after police said he was stabbed out of self-defense
A man who was stabbed by another man "out of self-defense" Saturday afternoon is in custody and in stable condition at University Medical Center, police said.
The stabbing happened at 1:30 p.m. outside of a 100 S. Martin Luther King Blvd. apartment, at the Siegel Suites MLK, said Metro Lt. Jeff Goodwin. The man who was stabbed has "moderate injuries."
The person who stabbed the man is not injured and was not taken into custody. It was unclear what circumstances led to the stabbing.
