Man in wheelchair hit by car at bus stop Saturday night

A 72-year-old man is in critical condition after his motorized wheelchair was struck by a car at a central valley bus stop Saturday night, police say.

The man, Bruce Lee, was hit by a 2004 Saturn ION that had lost control after colliding with a 2009 Chrysler 300 in the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Bonanza Road, according to a Sunday release from Metro.

He was taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit.

The driver of the Saturn, Noah Moffett, 54, was suspected of driving under the influence, the release said. He was taken to las Vegas City Jail for further testing.
