Man killed at Siegel Suites identified
The man shot and killed at a Siegel Slots and Suites on Saturday has been identified by the Clark County coroner.
Antwone Deonte Smith, 28, died of multiple gunshot wounds after he approached two other males and started a physical confrontation about 2:50 a.m. inside the business at 5011 E. Craig Road, police said in a statement. The fight escalated and Smith was shot numerous times. A second man also was struck by the gunfire.
The men were taken to University Medical Center, where Smith was pronounced dead and the other was treated and listed in stable condition, police said.
This is the first homicide investigated by Metro in 2016.
