Man killed in hit-and-run incident Friday has been IDd

A man in a wheelchair killed by a hit-and-run driver Friday night while crossing the street in the northeast valley was identified by the Clark County coroner's office.

Metro said Michael Alan Terrell, 46, of North Las Vegas, and a woman pushing the wheelchair were outside a crosswalk when they were hit by a car about 8:20 p.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard North, just south of North Walnut Road.

The car that hit them, possibly an early 1990s dark-colored Nissan, was seen fleeing north on Las Vegas Boulevard, police said.

The pair was taken to University Medical Center where Terrell died and the woman, Judith Terrell, 44, was being treated for injuries deemed serious but not life-threatening.

Anyone with information on the driver or the vehicle involved in the crash can call Metro at 702-828-4341 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit crimestoppersofnv.com.
