Man killed in west valley crash identified

The man killed when he was ejected from a vehicle in the west valley Friday night has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.

Ki Lee, 51, of Las Vegas was a rear passenger in a BMW when he was thrown from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seat belt, Metro said in a release.

Lee was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred about 11:32 p.m. on West Spring Mountain Road near the intersection of South Hauck Street.

According to the release, a 2006 Infinity was traveling east on Spring Mountain Road at a high rate of speed. The front of the Infinity struck the left rear of the BMW as it pulled onto Spring Mountain Road from a private driveway. The BMW rotated until it came to a stop.

The 21-year-old driver of the Infinity was taken to University Medical Center with critical non-life threatening injuries.

The other two occupants of the BMW were also taken to UMC with non-life threatening injuries. All three of the survivors were wearing their seat belts, police said.
