A man is dead after a shooting early Thursday morning east of downtown Las Vegas.

Several members of a family attacked the man after a fight broke out about 2 a.m. at 841 N. Bruce St. near East Washington Avenue, Las Vegas police said.

Shots were fired, fatally injuring the man, police said.

Several people are being interviewed, but police say the shooter has not been identified.

Las Vegas police’s homicide unit is investigating.
