Man stabbed during robbery attempt in east valley

A man was stabbed during an apparent robbery in the east Valley Tuesday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

Officers responded to calls of a person being stabbed in the 4300 block of East Sahara Avenue, near Lamb Boulevard, about 1:30 p.m. and found the victim suffering from a stab wound, Officer Laura Meltzer said.

The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening, Meltzer said.

The stabbing appeared to be the result of an attempted robbery and police do not have a viable suspect yet, Metlzer said.
