Man’s body pulled from Lake Mohave

A body was found Sunday afternoon at Lake Mohave near where a man went missing Aug. 16, according to the National Park Service.

A visitor called park officials at 1 p.m. and reported seeing a body floating near Cottonwood Cove. Rangers responded and recovered a man’s body.

Park officials believe it is the body of a 31-year-old Southern California man who was reported missing in the same area after he jumped from a boat without a life jacket.

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the man’s identity after his family has been notified.
