Metro: Corrections officer arrested in prostitution-related crime

A corrections officer employed with the Metropolitan Police Department since 2005 was arrested Wednesday and faces a misdemeanor prostitution count, the department announced Monday.

Metro arrested Robert Moore on Wednesday and booked him at the Las Vegas City Jail. He has since been released and placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of internal and criminal investigations, according to a news release.

Moore was arrested "for a misdemeanor Unlawful Prostitution Act," the release said. Metro was not immediately available to provide further details on the arrest.

According to a public salary database, www.transparentnevada.com, Moore's base pay was $80,600 in 2014.
