Metro motorcycle cop crashes; minor injuries reported

A Metro traffic officer on a motorcycle was involved in a crash Wednesday in the northwest valley, Las Vegas police said.
The officer was riding on Rome Boulevard, near the intersection of Decatur Boulevard, about 2:45 p.m. when the bike collided with a car that had just turned onto the road, Metro spokeswoman officer Laura said.
The officer was taken to University Medical Center as a precaution, but injuries do not appear to be serious, Meltzer said.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
