A motorcyclist has died after a car crash Thursday night in the central valley, the Metropolitan Police Department said.
The crash happened at 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Michael Way, which sits between Jones and Decatur boulevards, Metro Lt. Rick Given said.
The crash's circumstances were unclear as of 8:45 p.m., but the motorcyclist was taken to University Medical Center in life-threatening condition and later died.
Both east and westbound lanes of Washington were shut down at the intersection after the crash and would remain closed for a few hours.
