Motorcyclist dies after crash at Washburn, Camino Al Norte

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV at Washburn Road and Camino Al Norte on Saturday, North Las Vegas police.

The SUV driver was arrested on unknown charges, police spokesman Aaron Patty said.

Officers responded to the intersection about 4:30 p.m, Patty said.

The SUV was heading north on Camino Al Norte and making a turn into Washburn, Patty said. That’s when the motorcyclist, who was travelling south on Camino Al Norte, crashed into the SUV.

The male motorcyclist died at University Medical Center, Patty said. Both he and the driver of the SUV, who was not injured, will be identified by authorities at a later time.

The intersection was shut down while police investigated.
