NHP and CHP team up to issue over 300 citations on Interstate 15

The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the results from its Friday team-up with the California Highway Patrol, Metro and Henderson police to catch spring break speeders on Interstate 15.

Trooper Jason Buratczuk said officers from all four agencies stopped a total of 308 vehicles and issued 316 violations, mainly for speeding. Friday marked the end of Nevada schools’ spring break and the start for schools in California.

Buratczuk said that he pulled over someone driving 97 mph on the highway, but he was sure others were cited for higher speeds.

This was the first team-up between NHP and CHP. It will continue throughout next week.
