Parts of Las Vegas Boulevard reopened

Las Vegas Boulevard in the south valley was reopened at 4:20 p.m. by police who were investigating a report of a suspicious package, Las Vegas police said.

Police spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said Las Vegas Boulevard South near Pebble Road was where the traffic has been impeded.

Meltzer said the incident began about 2:30 p.m. and that the boulevard remains closed in both directions from Ford Avenue to Agate Avenue.

Pebble was also closed east of the boulevard and is expected to reopen soon, Meltzer said at 4:50 p.m.
