Pedestrian dead after eastern valley crash

A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle Friday night in the eastern Las Vegas Valley.

The crash happened at 7:38 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Boulder Highway, just north of the Indios Avenue intersection, said Metro spokesman Officer Larry Hadfield. Police are currently investigating.

Hadfield said the pedestrian was walking across the southbound lanes of Boulder Highway before being hit. Those lanes are currently blocked off to traffic.
