Pedestrian hurt in hit-and-run crash in central Las Vegas

A pedestrian is not expected to survive after a Friday night hit-and-run crash in the central valley, police said.

Officers responded after reports of the crash about 10 p.m. Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Peter Kisfalvi said a car hit a pedestrian on Desert Inn Road west of McLeod Drive.

The pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition and wasn’t expected to live, Kisfalvi said.

The car fled the scene, he said.
