Pedestrian injured in Wednesday morning accident
A woman was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening after she was hit by a car Wednesday morning, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was crossing Spring Mountain Road near Mel Tormé Way just before 6 a.m. when she was struck by a Toyota Camry. She was taken to University Medical Center with injuries to her leg and face, said NHP Trooper Loy Hixson.
The driver, a woman whom Hixson said was about 75, stayed at the scene. It was not immediately clear who was at fault.
