Pedestrian struck, killed in Kingman

KINGMAN, Ariz. — A pedestrian was struck and killed Monday morning on historic Route 66 just north of Kingman city limits. The Department of Public Safety said calls started coming in at 6:30 a.m. and that the victim was located near some industrial businesses about a half hour later.

Public information officer Tim Case said authorities are working to identify the adult male who was dead at the scene. The vehicle involved in the collision left the scene of the accident, Case said.

Investigators are trying to piece together some grill and headlight debris left at the scene of the crash in an effort to identify the vehicle, he said.
