People of interest named in shooting near Air Force base

Police have named three people of interest in a shooting that left one man dead near Nellis Air Force Base early Tuesday morning.

Colton Brantano, Jared Busch and Sherri Esquibel, all 21, are being sought in connection with the case, the Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement. Brantano was last seen driving a black 1990s model Volkswagen Jetta with gold rims, dark tinted windows and Arizona license plate BME4708, the statement said.

At about 2:30 a.m., police were called to a shooting at Nellis Suites, 4555 Las Vegas Blvd. North, near East Craig Road, Metro Lt. David Gordon said. Officers found a man in the parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to University Medical Center where he later died, police said.

Metro said the victim was arguing with several people he knew. The argument escalated to a shooting, Metro said, and may have been related to narcotics.

The Clark County coroner's office will identify the shooting victim once his family has been notified.
