Police: Body in southern valley may be missing 84-year-old man

Las Vegas police said Tuesday afternoon that a body found in the southern valley might be an 84-year-old man who was reported missing.

The body was found near East Warm Springs Road and the 215 Beltway at approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday, and police said it may be Thuoc Dong. Police asked for the public's help in finding Dong, because he had shown signs of early stages of Alzheimer's disease and did not speak English.

Positive identification as well as the cause and manner of the man's death will be released by the Clark County coroner's office. Police did not release further details related to the death.
