Police identify suspect in fatal shooting near downtown Wednesday
Las Vegas police identified a suspect they believe was involved in a fatal shooting Wednesday afternoon in a downtown home.
Metro named Omar Valencia-Garcia as a possible suspect on Thursday.
On Wednesday, police said the victim and the suspect were in an argument at 1024 Jessica Ave., a home near Charleston Boulevard and Maryland Parkway, when they started fighting. A neighbor reported hearing two men arguing and two gun shots at about 2 p.m.
Police said the suspect shot the victim several times and fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
