July 28, 2015 - 4:17 pm
Las Vegas police are investigating after a man was found dead inside a northwest valley home Monday morning.
The man was found about 5:10 a.m. in a home in the 3000 block of Panama Beach Dr., near the intersection of Rampart Avenue and Cheyenne Boulevard, according to dispatch logs. Police said he looked like he had been shot.
Officers were already in the area investigating a different call when they saw a wide open door at house. It appeared that the door had been kicked in, police said. Officers then conducted a welfare check and found the body.
No suspects were in custody as of Monday afternoon, and police did not know why the man was killed.
Additional information was not immediately available. The man's identity and cause of death will be released by the Clark County coroner's office after his family has been notified.
