Las Vegas police are asking for the public's help in finding the driver who fled after hitting and killing a 51-year-old pedestrian earlier this month.
Metro officers were called for an injured person in the road about 5:40 p.m. Nov. 6. They found a man on Boulder Highway north of the intersection of Dalhart Avenue, police said in a news release Wednesday.
The pedestrian, identified by the coroner's office as 51-year-old Jorge Luis Nunez-Gonzales, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. The coroner's office said he died that night.
"The only information we have at this time on a possible suspect vehicle is a dark colored (or two tone) full size pickup with an extended cab," Metro said in the release.
The truck was making a U-turn from southbound Boulder Highway at Dalhart when it hit Nunez-Gonzales, police said.
