Police looking for person of interest in fatal central Vegas shooting

Las Vegas Homicide detectives are working to identify a person of interest in the fatal shooting of Dwayne Autry Taylor, 39, in a central valley apartment Monday.

The person of interest is described as a black adult male of medium build and medium height. He is thought to go by the name "Seven," Metro said Wednesday.

The investigation indicated a physical altercation in the apartment parking lot between Taylor and the suspected shooter prior to the incident, according to police.

Police and medical personnel arrived at the apartment complex at located at 5801 W. Lake Mead Boulevard, near Jones Boulevard, and found Taylor unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at University Medical Center, police said.

Taylor died of gunshot wounds to the chest, according to the Clark County coroner.

This is the 116th homicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2015.
