Police seek man in connection with Saturday homicide

Las Vegas police are looking for a person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a west valley apartment complex Saturday.

Police asked for the public's help locating Mose Bennett, 23.

Police did not release information about Bennett's connection to the case, but they said an argument at a children's birthday occurred before the shooting.

Officers responded to the 1300 block of Kari Lee Court after several calls about gunshots about 8:30 Saturday night. A man was found near an apartment stairwell with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead, police said.

His identity will be released by the Clark County coroner's office after his family has been notified.

No arrests have been made and detectives are still figuring out what motivated the slaying.

This is the 101st homicide in Metro's jurisdiction in 2015.
