Police seek woman in July robbery

Las Vegas police are looking for a woman in connection with the July robbery of a convenience store near Jones and Lake Mead boulevards.

Police responded just before 8 p.m. on July 29 to a business in the 2000 block of Jones where a woman reportedly stowed merchandise in her purse and threatened to stab a store employee with a pair of needle-nosed pliers before she fled east on Lake Mead.

Police describe the woman as 35 to 40 years old with blonde hair, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray tank top, beige shorts, white and black shoes, a white wristband and a black belt. She also wore black sunglasses on top of her head, police said in a release.
