Power back on downtown

The power’s back on in downtown Las Vegas.

Parts of downtown were without power for roughly an hour Thursday afternoon.

Many government buildings, including the Regional Justice Center, the Las Vegas Foley Federal Building, the Clark County Government Center, and Las Vegas City Hall lost power just before 2 p.m., NV Energy said.

By 3 p.m., all power had been restored to the area.

No emergencies or accidents were reported in connection with the outage, but two people were briefly trapped in elevators, said Las Vegas Fire Department spokesman Tim Szymanski. Approximately 400 customers were without power.

NV Energy crews are still trying to determine the cause of the outage.
