Power outage in east Las Vegas leaves hundreds without electricity

Nearly 1,300 NV Energy customers are without power Sunday night in east Las Vegas.

The outage is affecting 1,276 customers in the area near Flamingo Road and U.S. Highway 95, according to NV Energy.

An NV Energy spokesperson said that the cause of the outage was unknown, but that crews were en route to the scene to restore power.

As of 8:40 p.m., temperatures were still hovering around 110 degrees in the eastern parts of Las Vegas, according to the National Weather Service site.
