Sahara lanes to be closed between I-15, Strip this week
Two westbound travel lanes of Sahara Avenue will be closed late Thursday and early Friday between Interstate 15 and Las Vegas Boulevard for bridge joint repairs.
The Nevada Department of Transportation said Tuesday that maintenance crews would close lanes from 9 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday.
Motorists are being encouraged to take alternate routes and use caution when driving through the work zone.
Sahara, which also is state Route 589, is maintained by the state.
Crews will be working on the bridge that spans Western Avenue, the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and Sammy Davis Jr. Drive.
