San Francisco bound JetBlue diverts, lands safely in Vegas

A diverted JetBlue Airwaves flight headed to San Francisco Saturday landed safely in Las Vegas, a McCarran International Airport spokesperson said.
Flight 577, carrying 139 passengers, was flying from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. to San Francisco when a smoke-indicator light turned on, spokeswoman Christine Crews said.
The Air Bus 320 was diverted and landed in Las Vegas at 12:22 p.m., Crews said. The Clark County Fire Department determined that there was no imminent emergency at 12:29 p.m.
