A three-vehicle accident on Interstate 15 sent six people to University Medical Center Monday afternoon, one woman in critical condition, a Nevada Highway Patrol official said.
Trooper Loy Hixson said the accident occurred in the southbound lanes north of state Route 160 at about 1:40 p.m. Hixson said the driver of a Chevrolet Blazer stopped and the vehicle was struck by a sedan. Then a Toyota pickup struck the sedan.
Hixson said the woman was airlifted to UMC.
Five others were taken to UMC by ground transportation. Their conditions were unknown, but appeared non-life threatening, Hixson said.
The southbound lanes were opened about 4 p.m.
