A suspicious package that briefly evacuated residents of a southeast valley apartment complex on Monday was deemed safe, Las Vegas police said.

Firefighters and armored police officers responded to the Park Place 1 complex, 3850 Mountain Vista St., about 9:10 a.m. after receiving reports of a suspicious package. About 1 p.m., the package was declared safe and residents were able to re-enter their homes.

Police were unable to disclose the contents of the package.

Indios Avenue was closed from Boulder Highway to Mountain Vista Street.
