State, federal agencies search for Henderson man missing at Lake Mead

The National Park Service and Nevada Department of Wildlife are searching for a 45-year-old Henderson man who went missing while boating and swimming with family at Lake Mead on Saturday.

An emergency call came in about 4:45 p.m. after the man and two others, who were swimming without life jackets, began to drift away, a National Park Service spokeswoman said. Two of them made it out of the water safely.

The 20 to 30 mph winds might have been a factor, according to the Park Service.

Windy conditions cancelled the air and water search on Saturday. The effort resumed on Sunday and Monday.
